Kellie Martin, the American actress and filmmaker best known for her role as Christy Huddleston in the period drama "Christy", Rebecca Thatcher on the drama about families Life Goes On> and Lucy Knight for the medical drama ER. Her other roles of note include her title character in the Hailey Dean Mystery series. Martin's acting journey began when she was just seven when her aunt, the former nanny who took care for the children of Michael Landon, helped secure an appearance as a character in the 1982 film 'Father Murphy.' After graduating of Yale University she began to take acting seriously and landed roles on the small and large screen. Martin is a professional actress and a skilled dancer and photographer, has been working in the field for over 20 years. Since she is a mother of two children, she has become the National spokesperson for Lupus. She has also promoted awareness of the disease since her younger sister died in the age of 19.
