They have been playing at local venues along with open mics and elsewhere. The Voice coaches didn't discuss Sasha's past, but Jim and he shared their experiences prior to performing. Sasha first started playing guitar when she was just six years old. The pair talked about their musical tastes as well as shared their stories about how they first met. Since his father is an expert music teacher and musician, he was able to grasp the concept. Sasha faced identity issues when he was a kid, being a woman. In an Instagram posting, he opened up recently about his struggles. Jim, meanwhile, felt overwhelmed by emotion as revealed his inability to remain present in the difficult moments. Sasha Allen is a contestant on The Voice. She was born a girl. Sasha Allen turns 19 in 2021. Sasha was first exposed to transgender people during the first year of high school when he began to transition from female to male. Sasha stated on Instagram the fact that he is the third transgender person to have been on the show. He said he felt very proud and honored to be a part of the trans community in all its diversity.
